Where is Knightwood Training based?

We're based in Worcester and deliver training courses across Worcestershire. We can also provide on-site training at your premises if preferred.

What training courses do you offer in Worcester?

We offer 11 accredited courses across four categories: first aid (including Emergency First Aid at Work, First Aid at Work, and Paediatric First Aid), health and safety (Fire Marshal and Workplace Health and Safety), licensing (Personal Licence Holders), and SIA security training (Door Supervisor and CCTV Operator courses).

How long does it take to get an SIA Door Supervisor licence in Worcestershire?

Our Door Supervisor Training (Initial) course runs over 6 days. Once you've successfully completed the course, you can apply to the SIA for your licence. Current SIA licence holders can take our 3-day refresher course to renew.

Do you offer first aid training for schools in Worcestershire?

Yes. We work with schools across Worcestershire to deliver first aid training, including Paediatric First Aid and Emergency Paediatric First Aid courses specifically designed for those working with children.

Are your training courses accredited?

Yes. All our courses are fully accredited and nationally recognised. Our first aid courses meet the requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981, and our SIA courses meet the requirements of the Private Security Industry Act 2001.

How do I become a CCTV operator in Worcestershire?

You'll need to complete our 3-day CCTV Operator Training course, which leads to the Level 2 Award for CCTV Operators (Public Space Surveillance). This qualifies you to apply for your SIA CCTV licence.

What first aid certificate do I need for my workplace?

It depends on your workplace risk assessment. Lower-risk environments may only require Emergency First Aid at Work (1 day), while higher-risk workplaces typically need the full First Aid at Work qualification (3 days). Contact us and we can advise based on your specific situation.

Do you provide Fire Marshal training in Worcester?

Yes. Our Level 2 Award in Fire Safety (Fire Marshal) is a 1-day course suitable for designated fire wardens and anyone with fire safety responsibilities in the workplace.

How long are first aid certificates valid for?

First aid certificates are valid for 3 years from the date of achievement. We recommend booking your requalification course before your current certificate expires.

What experience do your trainers have?

Our trainers bring real-world experience from military, police and security backgrounds. This includes service with the Royal Marines, operational tours in Afghanistan, maritime security work, and over 35 years of combined experience with West Midlands Police. All trainers are fully qualified in teaching and assessing.

Do you offer training for local authorities and government bodies?

Yes. We regularly work with local authorities, government bodies, schools and businesses across Worcestershire to deliver compliant, professional training tailored to their requirements.

What is the Personal Licence Holders (APLH) course?

The Level 2 Award for Personal Licence Holders is a 1-day course required by anyone who authorises the sale of alcohol. It's a legal requirement under the Licensing Act 2003 and is assessed by a 40-question multiple-choice examination.

Can I book training as an individual in Worcester?
