The Level 2 Award for CCTV Operators (Public Space Surveillance) in the Private Security Industry is designed to show that learners have obtained and can demonstrate the knowledge and skills required to be a CCTV Operator. Successful completion of this course enables delegates to meet one of the requirements to apply for their SIA CCTV licence.
Who is this course for:
The SIA CCTV course (Public Space Surveillance) is designed for individuals seeking to work as licensed CCTV operators in the UK private security industry. It is aimed at newcomers looking for a security career, current security professionals, or those working in control rooms. The course requires candidates to be at least 18 years old.
Regulatory Compliance
Under the Private Security Industry Act 2001, all CCTV Operators, who are working and monitoring public spaces, or private property (e.g., in retail, corporate, or transport hubs), and using equipment to identify or watch people, then you must hold an in-date licence issued by the Security Industry Authority (SIA).
Certification
On successful completion, delegates receive the Level 2 Award for CCTV Operators (Public Space Surveillance) in the Private Security Industry and will be able to meet one of the requirements to apply for their SIA CCTV licence.
