This shortened condensed conversion course is for those who hold similar training and qualifications to the Level 3 Award in First Response Emergency Care (RQF) and wish to gain this qualification, expanding their skills and opportunities within the pre-hospital care industry and security sector.

  • Holders of equivalent first response qualifications wishing to convert to FREC 3

  • Security sector personnel requiring FREC 3 certification

Entry Requirements

To qualify for the RPL route, you must hold one of the following qualifications:

  • Highfield Level 3 Award in Emergency Care for First Responders (RQF) (603/6892/5)

  • SFJ Awards Level 3 Award in First Person on Scene Support (RQF) (603/3964/0)

  • TQUK Level 3 Award for Initial Person on the Scene of an Incident (RQF) (603/5085/4)

  • Recognised internally set courses run through sectors such as Police, Fire, NHS or Military

Important: All learners must have completed their course/qualification within 24 months of the FREC 3 course start date and are still required to complete all FREC 3 assessments.

Assessment Method

  • 6 x Mandatory practical assessments

  • 1 x Multiple choice question paper

  • 1 x Invigilated exam

  • 5 x Optional practical assessments (Extended Skills)

Certification

On successful completion, delegates receive the Level 3 Award in First Response Emergency Care.

Certificate Validity

3 years from the date of achievement.
