Course Overview
This qualification is suitable for anyone with responsibility in the workplace to undertake fire safety requirements. The course provides learners with the knowledge to carry out designated duties as a fire warden/marshal and increases fire safety awareness for all employees.

What Does the Course Cover?
Understand the hazards and risks associated with fire in the workplace
Understand how fire risk is controlled in the workplace
Understand the principles and practice of fire safety management at work
Understand the role of the nominated fire warden
Delivery Options
Classroom (Face to Face) 6 hours minimum contact time, delivered in 1 day or over a maximum of 3 weeks (minimum 2 hours per session).
Distance Learning Self-study and webinars or continuous contact between the learner and trainer/assessor.
Self-Study (Blended) 7 hours total qualification time with a minimum of 3 hours contact time via video conferencing (including assessment), completed over a maximum of 3 weeks.
Continuous Video Contact 6 guided learning hours and 7 hours total qualification time, delivered via video conferencing in a classroom-style format with continuous contact between learners and trainer/assessor.
Assessment Method
There is no grading of the assessment – learners either pass or are referred.
Classroom-based: Written assessment
Distance learning: Professional discussion with the trainer/assessor through video conferencing software
Certification
On successful completion, delegates receive the Level 2 Award in Fire Safety.
